World Book Day 2006, which takes place on Thursday 2nd March, continues the campaign to encourage people to recommend a good read to friends and family.

Millions of free postcards will be made available throughout the country for you to send with a personal book recommendation - an easy way for everyone to participate in World Book Day.

Look out for the free cards in libraries, bookshops, bars, cinemas, cafes, health clubs, heritage sites and in magazines and newspapers. Or to make it even easier you can send an e-card from here.

In fact, you can send as many e cards as you want to as many people as you want.

So whether it is a book for your girlfriend to read on holiday ... a book to make your best mate laugh ... a book to let your lover know how you feel about them ... a book your boss could learn a few things from ... a book to inspire your kids ... or a book to give your Mum get an idea of how you live your life ... send them an e card and spread the word.
